Hainle Vineyards Estate Winery became BC’s 8th estate winery in 1972, is the birthplace of North American Icewine and became Canada’s first certified organic winery in 1988.

Hainle Vineyards Estate Winery is North America's first producer of Icewine and holds a special place in Canada's history books.
Protected by international law, Icewine is the only wine in the world which still has to be made traditional like in the mid 1800's in order to carry the name Icewine on the label. Icewine is also the rarest and most desired wine in the world. It is on average the most expensive wine sold in the world. Icewine is one of a view wines which will last over 100 years if stored proper. Because of this, Icewine is a great desired collectors wine. At international wine auctions Icewine archives many times prices higher than the rarest wines in the world surpassing wines from Bordeaux or Burgundy.
We have a private collector who owns a few of our 1983 & 1984 limited Heritage Vintage Icewines and willing to sell them to fortunate buyers. Among them, 1984 Riesling Icewine has the unique honor to be served at Prince William's Royal Wedding. Each bottle is numbered, here are the tasting notes.
